With the roster split, WWE seems to be burning through these “first time ever” matchups, which is frustrating at times.

Monday, we got an interesting matchup, with Cesaro calling out Finn Balor and the two tangling in a match with no real buildup or stakes. Cesaro & Sheamus have a Raw Tag Team Championship match on Sunday, and Finn is dealing with Elias Samson right now. Still, they had a good back-and-forth until things devolved into chaos.

Balor managed to pull out the win amongst the craziness, though you could argue that we simply got an appetizer of what these two could do together in the ring. If anything, the match made you want to see them compete again, possibly over a title or in a heated rivalry. Maybe we will at some point down the line.
