When The Miz got moved over to Raw in the Superstar Shakeup this spring, many fans lamented the decision to pull the A-lister away from his ongoing battle of words with SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan.

And for a while, Miz floundered as he battled Dean Ambrose endlessly. It looked like his white-hot 2016 and beginning of 2017 would flame out completely. But the Awesome One rebounded and found his new muse in Jason Jordan and his storyline father, Raw GM Kurt Angle. Jordan has his sights set on Miz’s Intercontinental Championship, and Miz has been more than happy to allege that Jason is getting his shots because of his dad pulling strings.

Monday, Miz shredded Angle, calling him a deadbeat dad and pledging to be there from day one for his child, unlike the Olympic hero. Sure, the estranged son storyline is lame, but Miz made it work to his advantage, and Angle played his part perfectly.
