7 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 2)

4. A Weak Win

Maybe it’s a combination of a wrestler who is a charisma vacuum and another who has “go-away heat.” Maybe it was a cheap finish that didn’t accomplish much. Or maybe it just wasn’t a good match.

But the bout between Natalya and Lacey Evans just didn’t hit the right chords. Nattie tried, showing a little spunk by jumping Lacey on the ramp and daring her to enter the ring. And Evans did all her usual stuff to take over before Neidhart regained control.

And then it all went downhill.

What we got was a double-distraction, with the ref pulling Natalya off Lacey, who was in the ropes. Evans then threw her handkerchief at Nattie, and quickly landed a Woman’s Right for the win. It was a super-cheap win, almost a pointless one in many ways.

It’s just hard to put that into a positive frame.
