Really, it shouldn’t be surprising that Edge and Seth Rollins put on an absolute immediate classic Hell in a Cell match Thursday. Let two accomplished veterans construct a match with a clear story and a “clean” finish, and great things can happen.

Rollins and Edge pulled out all the stops in a brutal cell match that involved tables, ladders, chairs, chains and even a wrench, but never got hokey or unbelievable (within the confines of a wrestling universe). Rollins getting shoved off the top into the cell and through a table was remarkable, as was his MDK powerbomb off the top of a ladder through a table.

We could deduct half a point for Michael Cole calling Rollins hitting an Unprettier as “using Edge’s own move,” but that really is on Cole, not the wrestlers.

This one was a real barnburner. If you missed it, make sure to watch it on the replay.
