205 Live might be a disappointment for WWE, but the cruiserweights continue to add some decent match quality to PPVs and Raw when they’re given time. Neville and Akira Tozawa delivered a spirited title bout Sunday night, kicking off the PPV right.

Tozawa had the King of the Cruiserweights on the ropes a few times, even hitting his top rope senton finisher. But Neville was able to escape and survive, using some underhanded tactics to retain his title. But along the way, Akira had fans believing he might dethrone the champ, which is always a good sign of a match.

Still, as great as Neville has been, WWE needs to build up the division to get fans to care about the other cruiserweights. Whoever beats Neville for the title could be poised to break through, but it would help greatly if he’s built up.
