3. MVP’s Chip

Ever since MVP returned to WWE, it’s been clear that his best possible role is as a manager, serving as the mouthpiece for less verbally gifted superstars. He could potentially establish his own stable to pursue championship gold.

It looks like MVP has his cornerstone in Bobby Lashley, a wrestler whose biggest blindspot has come on the mic. Having an experienced hand like MVP can only help Lashley, and it already helped Monday night, as the manager jawed with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in the VIP Lounge.

MVP called back to an earlier encounter, when McIntyre attacked him a couple months ago, noting that he decided then that he wanted to play a role in taking the WWE Championship away from him. That made his partnership with Lashley more purposeful, and it gives MVP extra incentive to do everything he can to help his charge win the title at Backlash.

Besides all that, has Lashley ever been more interesting than he is right now? Yeah, he’s not setting the world on fire, but MVP ups his standing a decent amount.
