There are some things you can count on working in any professional wrestling match, if done correctly.

Monday, we saw how the “hot tag” can fire up a crowd and turn a wrestler into a superhuman in the fans’ eyes. Natalya took a beating from Mickie James and Alexa Bliss, only to make the tag to Nia Jax, and the crowd exploded.

Jax, to her credit, was the proverbial house afire, laying out Mickie in short order and hitting a gorilla press slam and leg drop for the win. It was simple, and it was very effective.

Of course, Bliss immediately waffled Nia with a kendo stick, but the point was made, and Jax looked like a monster. Jax also grabbed the kendo stick and broke it over her knee, just to drive the point home even more.
