7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 22)

1. Street Profits Get The Smoke

After all the buildup, you couldn’t have the Street Profits come out and lose in the main event, could you?

The duo has been de facto hosts of Raw for a few months now, but they finally made their in-ring debut Monday against The OC, and they didn’t come alone. After watching numerous teams fall to the numbers game, they enlisted the help of Kevin Owens, who hit a Stunner on AJ Styles to even the odds, allowing Montez Ford to nail a frogsplash for the win.

The big question for the Profits was whether their gimmick would translate in a big arena – it’s worked really well at the much smaller Full Sail. Ford and Angelo Dawkins danced through the crowd, hyping them up on the way to the ring, which did the trick. The match itself wasn’t that great, but the right team won, so that’s a positive step.

Memo to WWE: If you want to get them really over, distribute red Solo cups to fans facing the camera before the Street Profits come out so they can toast along with Ford.
