6. Talking Draft

By now, it’s glaringly obvious that the WWE Draft was an unmitigated ratings disaster. There’s simple, empirical evidence to show that wrestling fans didn’t give two sh*** about a predetermined sport’s “draft.”

And yet, we had to endure numerous conversations among wrestlers and the commentators about where someone was drafted, who was a sleeper, who was a first-rounder, who would be the value pic, etc.

This stuff just needed to be ditched entirely and just get back to a “normal” wrestling show. Quit pretending the draft meant something and still matters.

We’re giving this a slight “down” here, but if they keep bringing up the draft, it will climb the charts quickly.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
