7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 22)

While it wasn’t part of Raw, we have to give a huge thumbs down to WWE for its Instagram post from Sunday.

The pic was of an urn, spray-painted with D-Generation X’s graffiti logo, with the caption reading, “Are. You. Ready? #WWECrownJewel.” Bear in mind that WWE’s official corporate statement on the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi has been limited to, “We are monitoring the situation,” despite the accusations that he was murdered by a Saudi hit team at the direction of the royal family.

And with a murdered journalist looming over this event in Saudi Arabia (yes, despite WWE scrubbing all references to Crown Jewel’s location, it is indeed still Saudi Arabia), someone thought it was a good idea to post that pic? Throw in the Undertaker and Kane graveside promo on Raw and you have an indication of how tone-deaf they can be.

What the hell is wrong with this company? It’s bad enough they’re chugging ahead with the PPV, but at least exercise some judgment.
