7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 22)

6. Table Survives Contract Signing

Typically when you have a contract signing, you can count on the table being reduced to kindling.

So when Ronda Rousey promised she wouldn’t “lay a finger” on Nikki Bella, you’d be forgiven if you thought that meant that all 10 fingers were OK and Nikki was getting slammed through the table during their Raw Women’s Championship contract signing.

Instead, Rousey kept her word, taking a slap to the face from Bella and smiling as she signed the contract. It was a nice departure from the norm, and it underscored the fire Ronda showed last week and the physicality that is coming next Sunday.

If Brie is able to help her sister, this could be a good, competitive match. But if Nikki is portrayed as being on Rousey’s level by herself, then it’s a joke.
