7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 22)

6. Time For New Opponents

Yes, WrestleMania is still six weeks out, and you can€™t move every single storyline along simultaneously, but it€™s abundantly clear that something needs to change in the tag team division at the top. The New Day has ruled the roost for the majority of the past year, holding the WWE Tag Team Championships for eight of the past 10 months. That dominance has been accompanied by some of the most entertaining segments on Raw during the past year. The trio really has come into their own and established themselves as truly over with fans. Unfortunately that means that they have also run through the vast majority of their possible opponents in WWE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2KdGHLmnJE Take Monday night, for example. Before Sin Cara went down with a dislocated shoulder a while back, New Day was facing the Lucha Dragons weekly. After toppling the Usos last month, New Day squared off Monday against Neville and the Dragons. They€™re just cycling through a limited tag team roster at this point, and while the matches are good, WWE desperately needs to infuse some new life into the division, either by turning New Day (giving us potential feuds against the League of Nations and the Dudley Boyz) or calling up teams from NXT.
