Before we got to December, we knew two of the participants in the 2017 Royal Rumble: Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. It looked like these two were going to be the focal points for the entire match as the biggest names in the bout.

But Monday, the Undertaker returned and announced his return to the Rumble, 10 years after he won it all in 2007. Taker entering the Rumble means the star power for the match is even greater, and it adds a layer of intrigue to the match. One of the biggest stars in WWE history will participate in one of WWE’s signature events.

Throw in the rumors of a Taker/John Cena match at WrestleMania and you’ve got the speculation running wild of Undertaker winning the Rumble and Cena winning the WWE World Championship in San Antonio.

Regardless, UT’s announcement was a big deal Monday.
