7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 20th)
5. Apology Not Accepted
Before anyone revs up to comment about this, yes, it was obvious that AJ Styles demanding that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson apologize was a setup from the get-go. But that doesnt change the fact that it was kinda lame.
Styles felt somewhat sincere, but you knew he wasnt serious when he brought Gallows and Anderson out to apologize. Yeah, it was blatantly disingenuous for a reason, but it didnt feel like it advanced anything. They could have cut the apology part out and just had Styles saying that he knew that Cena would use their interference at Money in the Bank as an excuse and that he wanted to make it right by offering up one of the two culprits.
Was this a horrible segment that damaged the feud? Absolutely not. It just fell a little flat. This still is a good rivalry that hopefully will continue and will make a major star out of AJ when its all said and done.
