7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 9)

2. The Kevin Owens Show

How is it that WWE lets Kevin Owens deliver promos that incite the crowd and then can€™t figure out that he should be a heel world champion sooner rather than later? The Intercontinental Champion delivered a strong promo en route to the ring Monday, declaring that WWE fans have been €œcheering for the same old garbage for years now€ and that he was going to bring change to the company. Owens also proceeded to insult the Manchester crowd for worshipping a €œfalse idol€ in the Queen of England and for believing in the Royal Family. This came after the British fans cheered for Owens€™ heel promo, thus turning those cheers into boos in one fell swoop. You have to admire his ability to make even €œsmart€ crowds turn against him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjQSgG_hKiI It seems like WWE might at least be getting the memo that Owens is a solid talent €“ he won the match cleanly with a Pop-Up Powerbomb. After winning the Intercontinental Championship with an eye rake, he€™s started winning even his non-title bouts cleanly, which is a good sign.
