7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 9)

1. The Hard Sell(out)

It€™s hard times for the Authority, which has lost its world champion in Seth Rollins, leaving the top heel stable with no active wrestlers. That situation forced Triple H to make a strong play Monday night for a suitable replacement, and he wasted no time in going for a former partner of Rollins, Roman Reigns. Hunter€™s pitch was a great one, pointing out that it seemed unfair to make Reigns go through another tournament after earning the right last week to be number one contender. He pointed out all of the trials and tribulations Roman has been through this year, and that he €œcan make those walls go away.€ When Reigns talked about selling out, Triple H was quick to note that Roman is going to be criticized if he wins the title the easy way or the hard way, so he shouldn€™t make it hard on himself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XY5ZpYY5pvs It was great to see Triple H make the hard sell to find a new charge, throwing everything at Reigns in an effort to sway him. It showed a snake-in-the-grass persona, a devil-like temptation that had to be hard for Roman to reject.
