WWE tends to love to have its wrestlers lose in their hometowns. Just ask Booker T whenever they traveled to Houston, or Bayley, Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair defending the Raw Women’s Championship in their hometowns.

So it was a pleasant surprise to see Ember Moon get the win in Dallas Monday night, even if she didn’t score the pinfall. That honor fell to a returning Nia Jax, who helped Moon defeat Mickie James and Alicia Fox.

Jax’s return bolsters a Raw women’s division that is going to need credible challengers if Ronda Rousey is going to hold the title for a while. Alexa Bliss should be off the map for a while, and it seems like Nikki Bella, with eight singles matches in the last two-and-a-half years, is the next challenger up for Rousey.

Wrestlers like Moon and Jax might be faces, but they are more credible than the members of the Riott Squad.
