1. A Knock-Out Of A Promo

It’s almost a given that Raw will always begin with an in-ring promo from someone. What makes it special is when WWE manages to do something different.

Monday, Kevin Owens started out in the ring with the lights turned way down, sitting backward in a chair, wearing a suit. He railed against Goldberg and all of those who say he’s going to lose his WWE Universal Championship at Fastlane. KO pledged to outlast Goldberg, whose matches typically last 90 seconds. He said that while Goldberg might yell, “You’re next!” the former WCW icon was “nothing.”

And then, Owens turned his attention to last week’s betrayal at the Festival of Friendship: “As far as Chris Jericho goes…” and then he just dropped the mic.
