When it was announced that Big Show and Braun Strowman would wrestle in the main event of Raw, you would be forgiven if you thought that it could seriously be a flaming trainwreck.

But the two behemoths pleasantly surprised everyone with a well-constructed power match that showcased Strowman’s (relative) speed and (relative) agility, including a(n assisted) kip-up, dueling suplexes and two massive powerslams. The match was plodding at times, but Braun and Show did an admirable job making the bout more than watchable.

The match also accomplished its goal of making Strowman look more capable in the ring and more of an unstoppable monster. His running dropkick counter to Roman Reigns’ spear afterward also helped matters.
