7 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 4)

2. Rousey The Virtuous Heel

There’s no avoiding it: Regardless of what she says and does, Ronda Rousey is going to get booed and jeered weekly as long as she’s viewed as standing in Becky Lynch’s way.

So WWE would be wise to continue to lean into it. Whether intentional or not, Rousey’s mannerisms and promos lend themselves perfectly to it, as she confronted Becky backstage and chastised her as “unprofessional” for refusing to see a doctor and attacking Stephanie McMahon (something Rousey herself has done on multiple occasions).

Rousey went as far as to tell her to stay home and rest up, adding, “Ice and Advil, b*tch.”

Later, Rowdy Ronda demanded a second match against Sarah Logan after dispatching Liv Morgan in short order, wanting another fight, and lashing out a little at the crowd who booed her. She’s clearly trying to be the heroine and leader of the division, but doesn’t understand why she’s being jeered.

If this is all intentional, it’s great storytelling of a slow burn. If not, it’s unintentionally wonderful and they shouldn’t back away from it.
