7 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 4)

6. Crews Can Lose

Remember the Fresh Start Battle Royal in December? No? that’s OK, WWE apparently doesn’t either.

Apollo Crews won that match, eliminating eight men – more than half the field – earning an Intercontinental Championship match later that night. Crews would lose the match, but he seemingly had earned some respect and maybe, just maybe, he was slowly turning a corner after years of treading water.

Fast-forward to Monday, and Apollo was seen backstage twice, once talking to Kurt Angle, and again in an interview where he flubbed his one line, and then being confronted by Drake Maverick and Rezar.

It’s disappointing to see him flounder like this and used in pointless segments with no idea whether he’s ever going anywhere. At this point, Crews would benefit from heading back to NXT and starting over, because it’s pretty obvious WWE has no interest in sustaining a push for him.
