7 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 4)
5. Pick A Side Already

It was nearly two months ago that WWE announced that six NXT superstars would be coming up to the main roster to shake things up, and three weeks since they started turning up on Raw and SmackDown.
And while it was a cool concept to have them compete on both shows as it was determined where they would land, it’s a bit ridiculous that not only are they still wrestling on both shows, but some are getting opportunities for title matches. Heavy Machinery, in particular, has now wrestled in fatal four-way #1 contenders’ matches on both Raw and SmackDown for the tag titles.
The duo lost both bouts, but in each case, other established tag teams (Sanity on SmackDown, the Ascension on Raw) were overlooked in favor of this floating team.
That’s not to say that Heavy Machinery is detracting from the product – on the contrary, they’re more “over” than the Ascension by a mile – but from a storyline view, why are they getting opportunities before they pick a show? If they want a shot at the titles, make them sign on the dotted line. Done.
