4. Ambrose’s Spiral Continues

When WWE tipped its hand that Dean Ambrose was leaving the company this spring, you could understandably set your watch to the Lunatic Fringe’s descent down the card.

A man who was part of the most influential group in recent WWE history, a former world champion, and a man who should have been part of the most heated rivalry last fall, was now on his way out, which means paying it forward – on your back.

Ambrose was unceremoniously tossed from the Royal Rumble in short order last week, then ejected from the ring the next night by Nia Jax. Monday, he got in Jax’s face, goofed on the mute EC3, and then lost to the new superstar in a brief, heatless match via rollup.

It’s a disappointing sight to witness, with Ambrose falling further down the ladder as we continue.
