7 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 17)

5. Stomping Grounds

Can we just take a second and acknowledge how utterly stupid the name of the upcoming WWE PPV is?

Stomping Grounds. Being held in Tacoma, Washington.

If this was being held in Allentown, or New York City, or somewhere that was an old WWE stronghold, or even Seth Rollins’ hometown, then maybe you could get away with calling it Stomping Grounds on that basis.

But this just seemed to be an idiotic name so the announcers and wrestlers could repeat the tagline ad nauseum: Time to kick ass and take names. We must’ve heard a variation of this line 20 times on Raw. And it got dumber every time.

But Vince McMahon probably loved it, so who cares, right?
