2. Vega-Ference Backfires

Ever since they showed up on Raw, Andrade and Zelina Vega have had a symbiotic relationship, with the luchador benefiting from his business partner’s impeccable interference.

It was bound to backfire, and it finally did Monday night, when Andrade ran into Vega, allowing Humberto Carrillo to score the rollup victory.

However, the match itself deserves kudos as well, as WWE finally managed to get fans to care about Humberto. They aired a short video of his high-flying exploits, then had Andrade and Zelina interrupt his interview to set up the match. The bout itself was extremely fast-paced, with the two luchadores meshing well together. Fans rallied to Carrillo, which helped the match tremendously.

All told, this entire segment came off very well and hopefully bodes well for Humberto. Andrade, having been undefeated to this point, could afford the loss with his manager’s interference serving as a good scapegoat.
