7. WWE Can’t Count

Look, we all know the WWE Hall of Fame is just a marketing tool for the company and not some official, “real” hall with set criteria. It’s a nice honor for those inducted, but it’s not like it’s some merit-based system.

Still, when you see something like the New World Order announced for 2020 induction, you have to take notice. And then WWE went and botched it. They announced they were inducting the “four original members” of the nWo: Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall… and X-Pac.

Now, X-Pac didn’t go by that name in WCW. He went by the name Syxx. There were two reasons for this: 1) His original WWF name was 1-2-3 Kid, and adding those numbers up give you 6; 2) He was the sixth member of the nWo after Hall, Nash, Hogan, Ted DiBiase and Giant. (You could split hairs and say nWo Sting was a member, and you could argue that DiBiase didn’t wrestle and was more of a manager than a full-fledged member, but go with it.)

Either way, saying “the four original” members and counting X-Pac in that group is just flat-out revisionist history, period.
