7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 15)
5. Miz Is Underrated?
A quick kudos to the Miz, who has played understudy in the Chris Jericho/AJ Styles feud. Hes lost to AJ twice, had two caps knocked out of his mouth and had his talk show hijacked by Jericho. And now, AJ is set for a rubber match against Jericho, while Miz has nothing. But Miz has done a great job of putting AJ on the map and serving as the glue that held things together through the past couple weeks, prolonging a slow Jericho heel turn (if that indeed is coming) and adding an extra element to things. And Monday night, Miz put in a solid performance against Styles in a match that was better than you might have initially thought. Miz held his own against AJ as they see-sawed back and forth, trading finishers (Miz kicked out of the springboard forearm the felled Adam Rose last week; Styles kicked out of the Skull-Crushing Finale). AJ would naturally win with the Calf Crusher, but Miz deserves kudos for his part in this feud.
