7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 15)

4. And That€™s Why He€™s The Champ!

While the booking of Kevin Owens has been suspect the past several weeks, putting the Intercontinental Championship back around his waist is the right move, regardless of how it happened. Owens has fancied himself a prize fighter since coming into WWE/NXT, so giving him a prize to defend is a natural fit. KO also is the kind of guy who, if booked properly, can give the IC title some extra attention. Would it have been nice if he had never lost it in the first place, or at least didn€™t go on a losing streak immediately prior to winning it back? Obviously. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M0Kbrp27Mo But from a €œglass half-full€ perspective, Dean Ambrose certainly didn€™t need the title, and Owens can hopefully do more with it, so this could be a good move in the coming weeks and months. Witness KO€™s dis of Dolph Ziggler when the Showoff asked for a title shot at Fastlane: €œNah.€ (However, that match is taking place.)
