7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 15)

5. A Golden Dud

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vo27w9L1t7I Please, please, please can we stop with the Goldust and R-Truth vignettes? They aren€™t entertaining, and they aren€™t getting either man €œover€ with the crowd €“ at least not in the sense that they want to see the duo win the WWE Tag Team Championships. It€™s obvious WWE is trying to recreate the magic of BookDust, a popular tag team in 2002-03 with Booker T and Goldust engaging in a series of humorous segments as the Golden One tried to bring Booker into the fold. The difference then is that both men were popular, in their prime, and were wrestling regularly. Goldust and R-Truth are elder statesmen in WWE today, clearly winding down their respective careers. They haven€™t been taken seriously as competitors in quite some time, and they aren€™t going to suddenly catch fire and win the tag titles. Simply inserting Truth into Booker€™s €œspot€ in the formula doesn€™t work.
