4. Bayley Stands Tall

For the longest time, Bayley has been seemingly maligned by WWE. In NXT, she was the underdog heroine, rising up to reach the top of the women’s division and becoming one of the brand’s top stars.

In WWE, she was mishandled from the get-go and stuck in dead-end feuds. Her on-again, off-again feud with Sasha Banks turned into them becoming a tag team for months – without anything to fight for. Then they won the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships – which they promptly lost at WrestleMania 35.

So Sunday, it was good to see Bayley fire up and win Money in the Bank, surviving a couple brutal spots, including an unplanned ladder falling on her and cutting her midsection. The ending – Sonya Deville assisting Mandy Rose and Bayley scaling the ladder, staring both women down and shoving them off – was a nice moment, as if Bayley was standing tall and just not going to be denied.

And of course, we know this wasn’t the end of Bayley’s story for the night…
