7 Ways AEW Can Improve Their Women's Division
4. Increased Promo Time For The Performers
A lack of promos was one of the general problems identified by fans in the early days of AEW. While they have largely addressed this issue for the men and the tag teams, the women sadly, are still stuck at the same place.
The only member of the women’s roster who has gotten any real promo time has been Brandi Rhodes. Aside from the obvious questions it raises as to why the only women getting time on the mic is a company executive, the whole Nightmare Collective angle has not exactly been cherished by the fans either.
This is doubly a shame because the women they have at their disposal can more than hold their own on a microphone. Even those with language barriers can be used in a way that circumvents said barriers, like how WWE have done with Asuka and Kairi Sane.
Moreover, showcasing a bit of the charisma on the mic is one of the best ways to win over the audiences. Without this opportunity, it’s no wonder the women of AEW have not made as big a mark as they could have otherwise.
