7 Ways Feuding With John Cena Has Hurt Rusev

7. Four PPV Matches Against Cena Are Too Many

A typical long feud in WWE storylines means a feud gets three PPV matches. Usually what happens is one guy wins the first match and the other guy wins the second match, which necessitates the third match to see who wins the feud. When a feud goes to four matches it usually feels like it's going too long. If those wrestlers are having "Match of the Year" type bouts every show then by all means keep going, but if it's average like Cena vs. Rusev then it feels like too much. To summarize the feud, Rusev won by cheating a bit at Fastlane in February. Cena passed out rather than giving up. Cena won clean at WrestleMania 31. Then at Extreme Rules Cena won clean again in a Russian Chain match. Remember how they said the Russian Chain match was Rusev's specialty? Well, he lost pretty easily. Now they're set to do an "I Quit" match at Payback. There's really no reason to do Cena vs. Rusev for the fourth time. Extreme Rules should have been the end. Fans want different and fresh feuds. Another Cena/Rusev match is a turn off.
