7 Ways WWE Could Reinvent Braun Strowman
2. Defeating Brock Lesnar
Remember when Brock put Strowman down with a single F5 at No Mercy 2017? After taking two running powerslams (Strowman's finisher, mind you) and kicking out? Yeah, didn't exactly sell Strowman as a top guy in his first singles main event on a WWE pay-per-view.
In fact, even Stone Cold Steve Austin chimed in on this back, saying in an interview with 107.7 The Bone: "They have built Braun to be The Monster Among Men. And to me, maybe you got to have something, a couple of F-5s or something to put a chink in the armor before the F-5 to keep Braun Strowman - 'The Monster Among Men' - down for a three-count."
In fact, Austin has been one of the more vocal critics of the booking of Strowman by WWE. He also hated his previously mentioned win at WrestleMania 34 with his 10-year old partner.
This is coming from a man who knows a thing or two about what it takes to build yourself up as a main event star in the WWE.
So after Brock already lost his Universal Championship to Rollins, why not correct this error and have Braun defeat Lesnar? This could restore some of the magic Strowman had back in 2017. And him and Lesnar would be an upgraded version of the great feud Braun was having with Lashley.
Or he could get the bigger push he deserves, going straight after the man who took Brock's title at SummerSlam.
