7 Ways WWE Recently Blurred The Lines Between Reality And Storyline

5. Brie Bella And Daniel Bryan

WWE.comWWE.comOne area where WWE really has begun mixing things up is with married couples who both work for the promotion. Sure, the company has incorporated superstars€™ marital statuses into storylines before, but has someone gone from a storyline wedding to one Diva to being engaged to another (in storyline and reality)? For Daniel Bryan, that is exactly what happened. About a year after being left at the altar by AJ Lee, Bryan showed up on Total Divas as Brie Bella€™s boyfriend. A few months later, after they were engaged, their relationship not only was revealed on WWE television, it has become a central component of several storylines. Brie went from being involved in various Total Divas feuds to standing alongside her fiancé and husband Bryan as he battled The Authority and Kane. She even €œquit€ WWE to save his title reign (albeit temporarily). What makes this married couple unique to WWE is that both are wrestlers €“ the bulk of previously acknowledged married couples involved a non-wrestling wife €“ and that might pay dividends if Brie gets her hands on Stephanie McMahon any time soon.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
