At WCPW Refuse to Lose, 'The Local Hero' Joe Hendry will face the toughest test of his career thus far when he takes on 'The American Hero' and Olympic gold medalist, Kurt Angle. Hendry won the right by outlasting fourteen others in the Kurt Angle Invitational and has been training hard every day since then to mentally and physically prepare for the task that is before him.
Not only is this a tough match, it's also Hendry's dream match. An amateur wrestler himself, Hendry looked up to Angle when he was growing up watching wrestling on television and he acted as a career blueprint for him. Now he gets the chance to face his idol live on pay-per-view.
What is there to say about Kurt Angle? His career speaks for itself and when all is said and done he will rightly be called one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots. He is someone who can beat anyone on any given day. On this day, I believe he'll probe to be just too much for Hendry, who will put up a hell of a fight but it just won't be enough to beat the master.
