7 Worrying Early Signs For WWE Survivor Series 2017

5. Too Many Heel Vs. Heel Matches

Typically, WWE like to keep the lines between heels and babyfaces fairly clear. Matches pitting those of the same alignment against one another are rare, because that wouldn't leave the fans with anyone obvious to root for. Survivor Series throws this formula out the nearest window.

The Miz vs. Baron Corbin and Alexa Bliss vs. Natalya are both heel vs. heel matches on the card. There's a similar air to Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal. On the surface, Jinder is the obvious villain there, but Lesnar (aided by Paul Heyman's smug demeanour) often shows a heelish edge. It's just as well fans enjoy seeing him German Suplex everyone.

Elsewhere on the card, heels and babyfaces will mix in the traditional Survivor Series teams just because they're "loyal" to their brand. Fans don't really have a 'favourite show' though, because most watch both anyway. In other words, the crowd could be sitting on their hands with nothing to cheer on 19 November.
