7 Worst General Managers In WWE History

7. Bret Hart

Bret Hart was the GM of Raw? Yes, briefly. On the May 24 edition of Raw, Hart was named the GM of the show. He lasted as Raw GM for only 28 days. The reason for the removal on the storyline was that the Nexus group was creating havoc and Vince McMahon, who was Hart's rival, removed him from the spot. It's not a case of Hart necessarily being bad for the role, but why would WWE put him in that spot for only one month? It's an example of how short sighted the booking was because if they really planned it well then they never would have done the angle in the first place. When Hart was removed, there were stories out about how WWE wasn't sure if he was going to be able to take bumps or what kind of physical role he would have. Hart took part in matches (including WrestleMania 26 against Vince) where he didn't bump at all. He had an insurance agreement after he retired, so there were concerns that he was violating that. Hart may be one of the best wrestlers ever, but his role as the GM of Raw was not a successful venture for him.
