6. Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle is arguably one of the best in-ring performers of all time, but when he was Smackdown GM from March 2004 to July 2004 he really looked out of place. Following WrestleMania 20 in 2004 (Angle lost to Eddie Guerrero), he was named the GM of the show and then there was a spot where he was thrown off a ledge by Big Show and ended up as the GM that was in a wheelchair. The reason they made Angle the GM was because he was too injured to compete, so he didn't wrestle for a few months. Even though Angle was a good talker and somebody that had a lot of credibility with the fans, it just didn't work for him. We were used to seeing him as a wrestler, not as an angry guy in a wheelchair. Maybe it's a role he would be good at when he retires. It just didn't seem right ten years ago on Smackdown.
