https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFX2CcduljM Somebody from WWE's reboot of the stable had to be included, so Booker T is the name that comes to mind. They added him to the group, which was booked like babyfaces by the spring of 2002. Within a few weeks, he literally got kicked out of the group by Shawn Michaels after a superkick out of nowhere. It didn't lead to anything. His tenure in the NWO lasted a whole two weeks. Maybe the goal was to make him a sympathetic character, but the NWO were faces by that point. In some ways they acted like heels although when they brought back Shawn Michaels it was to a huge ovation and they did nothing to make it seem different. They played to the crowd. Bringing in Booker, then kicking him out immediately accomplished nothing. To Booker's credit, he was able to succeed after the angle was over. The whole thing was still a giant waste of time, though.
