7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (Apr 16)

3. Silent Matt

BROKEN Matt Hardy INSANE
Impact Wrestling

Just a few weeks ago, fans were enamored with the idea of Matt and Jeff Hardy jumping over to WWE and taking their whole Broken Universe with them. While Impact's legal team (your guess is as good as mind as to what that actually entails) may have prevented a truly Broken Matt, we were all expecting something at least a little more interesting than what we've seen...which is basically nothing.

Over the past couple of years, one of the most interesting talkers in the business has been Matt Hardy. Therefore, you would have guessed when WWE brought him back into the fold, they would let him talk. But he's remained silent. It's not like they're building up to some big moment either where he speaks his mind either, as they gave that away on Raw Talk.

It's bizarre that out of six hours of Raw so far, they couldn't find a single minute to let him or his brother cut a promo about their return to the company, and at least give us some sort of indication as to whether they are going to go back to the personas they made incredibly popular on Impact and the independent scene, or if they are just going to coast off nostalgia like The Dudley Boyz did in 2015.

This could still end up being a lot of fun, but that amazing WrestleMania moment where the brothers finally returned already seems like a distant memory.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
