7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (June 25)

6. Minor Miracle

Money In The Bank Maria Kanellis
WWE.com

Maria and Mike Kanellis are finally in WWE and that's pretty cool. While the two did some great work on Impact, they always seemed like they would fit in better on Raw or SmackDown.

Maria was especially killing it as the leader of the Knockouts and proved she was more than deserving of another run in the major leagues. The couple got their chance at Money in the Bank and then had an equally hot follow-up on Tuesday. Wait. They had no follow-up on Tuesday. To be cynical for a moment (worst of the week and all that) but was there simply nothing else on the show they could have cut to find time for them?

Instead of making Daniel Bryan look like an ineffective leader in multiple skits by not knowing how to rule the MITB match, maybe they could have just done one. Instead of Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler going 16 minutes and once again making the Japanese superstar feel ordinary, maybe that match could have gone 10 minutes. Maybe 5. Then Maria and Mike could chat with us again.

Nothing fatal here, just more baffling than anything. It's always a confusing thing when WWE doesn't follow up with one of the most interesting moments of the prior show.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
