7 Wrestlers Who Really Didn’t Get Paid By The Hour

4. The Ultimate Warrior

Hardly any wrestler who worked with him has praised The Ultimate Warrior's in-ring work. In fact, Ted DiBiase once claimed that working with Warrior was a low point of his career, because he found it hard to piece together matches that hid his peer's limited wrestling ability. That says it all.

In spite of this, Warrior was a megastar during his career. Only working a handful of genuinely good matches (Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI and Randy Savage at 'Mania VII being his best) throughout his runs in the WWF and WCW, the guy was much better-known for rambling, nonsensical promos and shaking the ropes before entering the ring.

Remember that work rate term? Well, The Ultimate Warrior didn't come close to being considered a good pro wrestler, but he did have a raw magnetism that fans couldn't get enough of. Long matches were unnecessary with Warrior, not only because of his restricted skills, but also because his look was the core selling point.
