Alright so, basic stuff out of the way first, whenever a wrestler rises to the pinnacle of another promotion the logical thing to do is move to WWE for...you guessed it…the money. The idea is that every wrestling company has a financial glass ceiling that makes them vulnerable to the big lads stealing them away.

Now, depending on what reports you trust, Okada is allegedly one of the top fivehighest paid wrestlers in the entire world. Given that this top five starts with select WWE main-eventers around the $2m mark, and goes all the way up to Cena at around the $9m mark, he’s doing alright.

Plus, he’s currently got the creative freedom to continue a story with Kenny Omega, where the gimmick is loosely “every time we wrestle, we have the best match in the world”. WWE are making AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura crack each other in the b*lls. Keep him away at all costs.
