7 Wrestlers WWE Called Up In The WORST Way Possible
4. Karrion Kross
Karrion Kross's time in WWE feels like something fans will debate for years to come.
In NXT, he split a lot of opinion. Kross had a flashy entrance and an old school valet in Scarlett Bordeaux that felt slightly at odds with what NXT fans wanted in their presentation. His matches rarely (if ever) stole the show, but it felt as though his run with the NXT Title was a precursor to him becoming a major player on WWE's main roster.
It took just 100 seconds for that theory to come crashing down in unforgettable fashion. Debuting on Raw whilst he was still NXT Champ, Karrion arrived without his unique monochrome entrance and minus Scarlett by his side. That made his presentation drastically worse and cut him adrift from the monstrous character he was developing in NXT.
Worst of all, he was put in the ring with Jeff Hardy, who was on a generational bad run of form. He'd won just 2 matches in 6 months (both against Cedric Alexander), and so the expectation was that Hardy was going to be used to give Kross some real credibility in beating a future Hall Of Famer and former WWE Champion.
Then, incredibly, the man who walked to the ring carrying the NXT Title was beaten in less than 2 minutes. Not only did it bury Kross, it made the entire NXT roster look ridiculous. If this was the best NXT had to offer, then why should fans believe anyone else coming from that brand would be any different?
