7 Wrestlers WWE Released Who Deserve Another Run

5. Bull Dempsey

Bull Dempsey seemed to be ear-marked for greatness in the WWE. His early run in NXT saw him pushed as a monster tweener, squashing enhancement talent like he was Braun Strowman. A feud with another talent-squasher, Baron Corbin, transpired and then... nothing.

Actually, not quite nothing, but that's probably how Bull would prefer to remember it, because he was inexplicably re-packaged as an overweight wrestler trying to get fit. Unsurprisingly, this "Bull-Fit" gimmick relegated Dempsey to something of a joke with the fans and subsequently, he was released from the company. His last match was a final insult, as the former monster was on the receiving end of a squash at the hands of Samoa Joe.

Bull is still a young guy though and at 29, he has years of wrestling ahead of him. With a decent run in the indies, he could find himself back on WWE's radar once again. A return to NXT and an interesting program with a brawler like Oney Lorchan could make fans, and Bull himself, forget about the awful"Bull-Fit" gimmick once and for all.
