7 Wrestling Dream Matches That Sucked (When They Finally Happened)

Here it is, the match that inspired this article's creation, and a sad reminder to WWE that putting two 50-something legends into the ring and expecting miracles is not only unnecessary, it's downright dangerous.

Had Goldberg vs. The Undertaker been placed earlier in the card, lasted three minutes and sprinted through a greatest hits set of Spears and Chokeslams, nobody would've opined on social media that the match was hazardous. Some may have still thought it shouldn't have been booked, but it wouldn't have been considered dangerous.

Problems started a few minutes in when Goldberg cracked his head against the ring post and knocked himself goofy. After that, it was all downhill, and 'Taker of 2019 isn't the man to carry a wounded opponent to a passable match. Sloppy exchanges, a terrifying Jackhammer attempt and a botched Tombstone reversal spot turned a promising golden oldies performance into a cringeworthy, depressing display.

Forget for a second that Goldberg wasn't even the WCW icon fans had longed to see 'Taker face (that would be Sting), because that was the least of this bout's problems. Oppressive Saudi heat, ridiculous pressure to main event and Goldberg's injury turned this into a disaster no longtime fan needed to see.
