7 Wrestling Dream Matches That Sucked (When They Finally Happened)

1. Bret Hart Vs. Vince McMahon (WWE WrestleMania XXVI)

Imagine the scenes had Bret Hart somehow engineered a move away from WCW in the late-'90s and returned 'home' to the WWF for some Montreal-sized revenge on Vince McMahon. Back then, Bret could still bump, and McMahon was a brawling machine. Together, they could've created one of the most intense, memorable fights in industry history.

Yeah, that didn't happen.

Hart, who wasn't physically capable of having a thunderous match by 2010 and wasn't allowed to bump anyway due to insurance legalities, was a shell of his former self at WrestleMania XXVI. Meanwhile, mega-heel Vince, who had screwed Bret back in '97, almost became an accidental babyface due to the one-sided kicking he received on the night.

By the time Hart locked on a vengeful Sharpshooter more than 11 minutes into a match that needed to last five, fans were over it. Tapping out Vince might've given Bret storyline (and maybe some personal) closure, but this match was around a decade too late to mean anything.
