7 Wrestling Grudges That NEVER Really Ended

4. Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castignoli

Thugged out and defining street justice in professional wrestling, Eddie Kingston's appeal is that he looks like an everyman, can relate to the fans who idloize him, and talks with an authenticity that cannot be faked. Claudio Castagnoli, by comparison, is built like a god. His discipline and work ethic is superhuman, and he is one of the most admired, strong athletes in his profession today.

The two's rivalry is the stuff of legend. Every feud they've had involves a bitterness that is magnetic to the audience. They are incredible foes for one another. Maybe it's that they are two incredible wrestlers who excel to such a superhuman level that their styles and life outlooks are so perfectly aligned that they have created something special, but it often feels as though the dislike between the two spills over in ways that blur the line of kayfabe.

Kingston has brought up alleged disrespect from Claudio going all the way back to Chikara 20 years ago. Even recently, Eddie looked at Castagnoli with a level of malice that seemed to go beyond wrestling when he entered The Butcher Battle Royal on Collision. Whether it's real or it's not, the hatchet will never be buried between them.
