7 Wrestling Grudges That NEVER Really Ended

3. Randy Orton and Mr Kennedy

Randy Orton Mr Kennedy
WWE/Impact

Randy Orton and Mr. Kennedy's reported real-life feud was widely speculated about in the late 2000s. Orton was already one of WWE’s biggest stars, whose in-ring work and potential had seen him gain significant influence backstage. Mr. Kennedy may not have had as much goodwill, but his rising popularity with fans had him marked as one of the biggest rising stars in the business.

Kennedy had been out for a while with injury, but had a huge run-in with Orton after accidentally hurting Orton in a spot on a tag team match on Monday Night Raw in 2009. The spot looked innocuous, but Kennedy was let go by WWE just a few days later in a move that shocked both fans and him.

There has long been speculation that The Viper along with John Cena used their backstage influence to have Kennedy fired from WWE. This is something that Kennedy is still talking about to this day. He acknowledges that there were other factors, but Kennedy is still insisting that this incident felt premeditated on the part of Randy Orton.
