7 Wrestling Grudges That NEVER Really Ended
1. Bret Hart and Bill Goldberg
There is currently a post going around on X that says "how Bret Hart remembers Bill Goldberg injuring him". It features a modded game of 2K that features Bill Goldberg massacring Bret with a spinning piledriver, among other unsanitary acts of destruction. It's funny, but it is part of the never-ending meme that is Bret Hart's merciless and unforgiving feelings towards WCW's biggest monster.
Spare a thought for Bret first. There was no big final run for him, no farewell moment like those enjoyed by the likes of Ric Flair and Sting. His career ended as part of a WCW product that was in free fall, while he was considered a signing that hadn't worked. Madness, considering he was still putting on world-class matches, but Bret's career being ended by a mistimed kick to the head from Goldberg is Hart's sad reality.
Since then, Hart has bombarded the big guy with scrutiny. He has repeatedly tarnished his in-ring ability, and is now at a point where every interviewer approaches Bret with a question about Goldberg that they hope turns into viral clickbait. With his last breath, Bret Hart will remind the world that Goldberg was an unsafe worker.
